ABOUT THE FILM

"Black Purdue" is a feature-length documentary beginning with David Robert Lewis (BSCE 1894), one of Purdue's first Black students. It follows him and others through times of social change and seminal student protests, ushering in an era of achievement at Purdue University.

COMMUNITY CONVERSATION

Valeria Sinclair Chapman, Professor of Political Science, will share insights and developments since the film's 2010 release connecting Purdue's history with ongoing efforts.
