Purdue shuts down diversity offices

Purdue has announced the end of DEI activities and initiatives on campus, with changes already being put into place.

According to an email which went out to faculty members earlier today “the University is sunsetting historical DEI activities and initiatives, effective today.”

This "sunsetting" includes the closure of the Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging, as well as related activities in other colleges and departments. Already, the office’s website is down, and an anonymous student has reported at least one faculty member is losing their position in a related office.
