Federal cuts, Indiana budget bills jeopardize Tippecanoe libraries, local directors say

Librarians across the state landed in Indianapolis on Monday, clad in red for the “red for ed” day and holding signs with the words “We (heart) Our Library.”

It was the climax of brewing concerns Indiana libraries have been feeling since President Donald Trump’s March executive order slashed funding for the Institute of Museum & Library Services, as well as the effects Indiana Gov. Mike Braun’s property tax bills could have on the funding of libraries.
