Indiana Senate bill cuts $1.5 billion from governments and schools, returns $1.2 billion to businesses

After a new proposal from the Indiana State House of Representatives Monday, Indiana Senate Bill 1, which was initially filed as Gov. Mike Braun’s property tax policy reform, now cuts $1.5 billion from local governments and public schools and gives businesses an estimated $1.2 billion tax break.
