State Budget Puts Degree Programs At Risk: Here’s What Could be Cut at Purdue

The state budget includes multiple provisions that the majority slipped in without public input. One of these inclusions gives the Commission of Higher Education (CHE) the power to review and potentially cut degree programs with low enrollment at Indiana’s public universities. If a university wants to keep a degree program, the institution can request the CHE’s approval to continue it.
