The present and future of large-scale solar in Tippecanoe County

By 2028, Rainbow Trout Solar plans to have completed development of a 120 megawatt, 1700 acre solar project in West Lafayette. Its proponents celebrate the project for bringing renewable energy to the county, but many local residents worry about how the project is being carried out, and want “smarter solar” for Tippecanoe county.
