Join the City of Lafayette for a Fall Community Tree Planting on Saturday, October 17th, and help us grow a greener, healthier, and more resilient community!
As part of Lafayette’s participation in the IU Environmental Resilience Institute’s Urban Green Infrastructure Cohort, we’re bringing community members together to plant trees and learn how urban trees can help improve our neighborhoods, manage stormwater, provide shade, and offer habitat for local wildlife to flourish.
No prior tree-planting experience is necessary! Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or planting a tree for the first time, your help makes a difference.
What to expect: We’ll work together to plant trees, learn a few tree-planting and care techniques, and spend some time outdoors helping improve our community. No prior experience is necessary, and all necessary tools and guidance will be provided.
