The 2026 Arbor Day Celebration and Tree Planting Event will be held outside in the morning on Saturday, May 2, 2026. Community volunteers will plant approximately 62 trees along Commanche Trail in Lafayette. Trees have many benefits for the neighborhood, the community, and the environment. Join us for some fresh air, fun, exercise, and satisfaction that you are helping the community and the environment. Planting holes will be pre-dug. All tools and materials needed will be supplied. Each team will plant 2 or 3 trees. Children are welcome with adult supervision. Free event. All volunteers need to preregister online.

Arbor Day is a celebration of trees and also a call for each of us to do our part in protecting and caring for our existing trees and forests, and planting more trees. Join us to help plant.
